DOGS AND EARLY DETECTION

A recent article in the Globe and Mail reports that new research shows that specially trained dogs can sniff out bowel cancer, even in its very early stages, in patients' breath and stool samples. The study suggests that dogs’ extremely sensitive noses can detect the scent of the chemical compounds that indicate cancer. Amazing!

Interestingly, this is similar to the detection capabilities we have with our MetaHealthZone test. While we detect metabolites in urine samples, the dogs this article refers to are detecting the odors of these same chemical compounds.
